SHOULD I GET A BLU-RAY OR DVD?
We recommend DVD for video from standard-definition tapes.
Blu-Ray is an HD format that can only be played on Blu-Ray players.
This video explains why Blu-Ray can actually hurt the quality of standard definition video!

WHY ADJUST THE SPEED OF MY FILM?
8mm and Super 8 cameras take 16-18 pictures (or frames) every second.
The "movie" is created by showing those pictures at the same speed.
The more pictures per second, the smoother the image looks, which is why most modern cameras shoot 30-60 frames per second.
In order to keep the picture smooth, our equipment composes videos at 30fps.
This means you're showing more pictures per second than what was intended, so everything happens in fast motion!
We can use special software to slow that back to normal speed, and "blend" the frames so it doesn't flicker.
We're working on a video example of this - stay tuned!

HOW DO YOU FIGURE THE PRICE?
We try to find the balance between covering expenses and keeping your cost low.
The upfront transfer cost strictly compensates our team for their time.
We have opted to begin charging "a la carte" for your desired physical media.
Our physical media costs cover both materials and a small labor fee for creating your media.
This way, you pay for exactly what your project needs, and not for anything it doesn't.

WHAT IF IT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED?
We ALWAYS contact you upfront so we can set each other's expectations!
That said, damage can happen in shipping, or files can get lost in transfer...
Or maybe you just realized you want extra copies or editing services!
Here's our policies.

MY PRODUCT ARRIVED DAMAGED / DEFECTIVE.
OR
I DID NOT RECEIVE MY PRODUCT.
WITHIN 30 DAYS: We have your project on file and will replace the media at no cost.
AFTER 30 DAYS: Please see our policy for duplicate copies.

I WOULD LIKE AN EXTRA COPY OF MY DISC / THUMB DRIVE.
OR
I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST A NEW EDIT OR ENHANCEMENT.

WITHIN 30 DAYS: We have your project on file and can provide an edit or duplicate at standard pricing.
AFTER 30 DAYS: You will need to provide a file or disc with the content for us to duplicate or edit at the standard price.
If after 30 days you need a duplicate and do not have a digital copy, we can repeat the transfer as a new order.

I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE ENHANCEMENT / EDIT I RECEIVED.
WITHIN 30 DAYS: We have your project on file and can make one complimentary do-over of the service ordered.
AFTER 30 DAYS: Please see above policy for requesting a new edit or enhancement.
Any enhancements beyond what was originally ordered, are considered "new" edits.

I WOULD LIKE AN EXTRA CASE & SLIP SLEEVE.
You can order these at the regular rate at any time.
WITHIN 30 DAYS: You will receive exact duplicates of your original case inserts.
AFTER 30 DAYS: We will recreate your case insert from scratch. It may appear different than your original.

I'VE DECIDED I WANT MY DISC LABELED.
You can send us your unlabeled disc and we will design and apply the label at the standard price.
Alternatively, you can order a duplicate copy (see above) with the label option selected.

I WOULD LIKE ADDITIONAL MATERIALS TRANSFERRED.
